Client centered psychological care
Every individual is a compilation of their genetics, early learned behavior, primary identifications, patterning, and life experience. Psychotherapy is a guide to identifying and mapping these factors, appreciating the ones that serve well as well as learning to work with and restructure those that, born of dysfunction, continue to cause unhappiness and anxiety. Psychotherapy is a mutual process, where a therapist acts as pilot for navigating what is brought by the patient – the co-pilot. It is the patient’s job to think about and gradually share their experiences and thoughts while it is the therapist’s job to listen carefully, comment effectively, and guide the patient to a better understanding of the lines that have shaped them.

We believe there’s no single approach that fits everyone’s needs. Rather, it is important to incorporate different approaches depending on the presenting problems, treatment goals, and cultural backgrounds of the individuals. We value the therapeutic alliance in treatment and approach my clients in a warm, accepting, and supportive way, with a focus upon developing corrective experience.

Our primary focus involves maintaining an atmosphere of genuine acceptance and respect as we explore underlying issues. This is achieved through careful listening and reflection in a judgement free zone. An essential outcome of therapy is psychological growth. Psychotherapy facilitates that process through the client-therapist alliance. This is a real relationship in which client and therapist work together to understand, validate, and resolve underlying conflicts.
